Julian Casablancas

I wasn't originally going to make a journal about this, but it's been three weeks and I figure I should probably post at least something.

Last Friday I saw Julian Casablancas, lead singer of the Strokes, perform in Boston. Hot damn, it was a good show. Arguably one of the best shows I've seen live. The man has some killer stage presence, that's for sure. I'm pretty sure I almost swooned.

I actually hadn't heard much of his solo album prior to going to the show, but I don't think I would have liked it as much if I hadn't seen him live. It's a little synthesized for my taste, but as it turns out I can't stop listening to it. Casablanca's voice is fucking awesome.

So yeah, I was literally right up in front of the stage. Front row if you will. It was a small venue, but it made it awesome. I managed to talk a little with his younger brother and one of the other band members after the show, too. The opening act was called Tan Lines and their songs were about as bad as their name. Julian made fun of them a bit when he got on, too, which was pretty funny. If you feel like checking him out, I highly recommend Glass or if you would prefer something a bit more upbeat Out of the Blue

Anyways, that's about the only interesting thing I've been up to lately. Otherwise just working and trying to get some real world shit together, for example I figured a resume might be helpful.

Is that going towards a degree/major in particular?

I remember taking communication courses....those were fun (if you had the write teacher of course).
I don't mind working nights usually but this rotation is different, two on, two off, three on, two off, two on three off (the threes are friday saturday sunday so every weekend you either work or have a three day weekend). But I come from a city run by shift work so if it were four on four off i'd be able to adjust easier. I'm only doing this till the end of Feb i don't know what i'm going to do after that because i'm still casual. we'll have to see.

Hey man
well you said to ask about the whole forum mod thing here anyway so basically I just wanted to know what specifically you do and how would one get involved?

Sorry for what must seem a bit of a stupid question but even though I've been on the site for ages I've only joined recently and am trying to find out how to make the most of, also I apologise if you wanted me to post my question to you somewhere else.
