This "news" site can go FUCK ITSELF!!!! I am of Irish descent, my ancestors came to America during the potato famine, I have seen the grave of the first member of my family to come here from Ireland, I have been to Ireland.... I am not offended!!!! No one should be. The drunk Irishman is a welcomed comedic trope and nothing more. Besides Ireland still statistically consumes more alcohol than almost any other country so when the stereotype stops being true then they can complain. I have always been happy that you don't hear Irish people being whiny bastards about stereotypes and that I don't give a shit about them but I guess that is over. I repeat, this is not a "nasty surprise" to me, I am not offended, and any Irishman who is actually offended by this can Póg ma thoin. PS. Lost Series Finale- people can talk all they want about how good storytelling doesn't have to answer all the questions and that ambiguity isn't a bad thing. However, the goddamned promos all season said that my questions would be answered and I expected my goddamned questions to be answered so forgive me for being a little pissed off that I still have a huge list of shit that was never explained that I would still like A MOTHERFUCKING ANSWER TO!!!!! |
