I Call Bullshit
For the past day and a half i have been watching this video over and over again. Let me give you some context, this is the semi final playoff game for the state championship. The team with possession is the Las Cruces High School Bulldawgs playing against Manzano Monarchs at Manzano's field. The play was made with 6 seconds left in the game, the receiver Geoff Segovia clearly had possession of the ball at exact moment that his feet hit the ground. The reason that this play was so disputed is it was the game winning touch down. The refs refused to review the call despite the overwhelming amount of video proof that he made the touchdown. Later the head of the NMAA acknowledged that it was a completion and a touchdown. yet they refused to overrule the refs original call. I go to LCHS and in my opinion it was a touchdown. If the right call had been made LCHS would have gone to the state championship game against our long time rivals Mayfield Trojans. LCHS has already beaten Mayfield during the regular season. If LCHS had gone to the state championship it would have been the biggest high school football game in New Mexico history. I say FUCK YOU refs. you suck. LINKED MEDIA
