I'm planning on living in the District proper once I get back. I've hated living in Chevy Chase, and loved it when I was staying with my friends in Columbia Heights for a month or so. The only thing that sucked was the long commute to work. The cost and time involved in going from Columbia Heights to Bethesda every day was just too much.
December. I'm actually living in Chevy Chase for now, since my current job is in Bethesda. But in a few weeks I'm leaving to hike the Appalachian Trail. I'll be back in October, though (or earlier if the hike fails part way through).
