Something New to Look At

I just figured that everyone was probably tired of seeing my little one's junk. lol

We have 8 weeks to go, but I am not sure that we will make it that long. Ha, having said that I will probably still be pregnant on labor day now.

I cant wait for a glass of wine, sushi, a med-rare steak and some runny eggs, not necessarliy all at the same time. And lets not forget the most important thing - the birth of this little toot will mark the start of football season!! I don't think I could have timed it better if I had tried.

Hey! It's almost time for you to pop!!! I can't wait!

Luke is absolutely wonderful. He only cries (and at that, it's just a whimper) when he is waking up from a nap and thinks he's starving. Other than that, he is just as happy as can be. He's a cuddler too, which I love.

I had to send Mark to get me more nursing pads (I only had a few that Becky had given me). I made sure to have some Lanolin on hand and that was a lifesaver. i took it to the hospital. I was only planning to breastfeed for the colostrum, but I'm loving it & am continuing to do it. The lanolin has prevented me from having any cracking, bleeding, etc that I heard about.

They gave us everything we needed for the circumcision. If they do the gamco method (what we had) then you just need little 2x2 gauze and petroleum jelly. They gave us 2 tubes of the jelly, but we had to end up using vaseline the past few days because Mark liked to gob it on there so we ran out. If they do the bell method, then you dont' have to do anything special. You just wait for the little ring to fall off.

I've found that those disposable changing pads are a lifesaver. We have a changing pad & cover but once he peed all over it, we had to immediately throw it in the wash. Low and behold the next diaper he peed on the other cover and we didn't have any other backup covers! So I had some of those disposable changing pads and laid it over the changing pad & regular cover. It has been a huge help and has prevented us from having any other huge messes.

We have about a dozen or so receiving blankets which seems to be a good number. We can have some in the wash & not have to worry about running out. Plus we had to roll up two to put in the carseat to help support his head for now (one on each side).

I can't think of anything else right now. You're a mommy already & I'm sure it will all come rushing back as soon as you hold him in your arms! I bet you are so ready!

Something about gus being out of town and they can't fix it until he is back. They got hacked the other night, so they have to have a good fix done. Thankfully ours wasn't one of the ones that was hacked. Gosh, that must be awful! I'm so glad I didn't have heartburn. I think I got lucky in that aspect. Hopefully he will drop soon & the heartburn will minimize. And if not, only a few more weeks!
