Winter Break
So--where was I? *laughs* Ian went to Canada, when I picked him up ~11 days later, we went hung out, then had some fun at my place, then we went to see "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows". The next day, I got sick. I stayed at Ian's until I felt well enough to go home--he took care of me when he was there. I found out Friday (aka Dec. 23rd) that I had strep throat, which Ian--miraculously didn't get. I spent a lot of my time being sick cross-stitching. I enjoyed that, a lot. I saw a lot of my friends over break. I saw an old friend who ditched me, another friend who I haven't seen in years--we watched the director's cut of "Das Boot" then youtube videos, saw another friend and just gabbed, then had lunch with the just mentioned friend and another friend whom I haven't seen in years, then I have a video game play date. I also got to see my cousin quite often. :D Also, a guy who was like an older brother to me came back into my life after 10+ years, and I actually saw him a few times. I cannot wait though until the weekend (well, tomorrow), because Ian's coming down. I went up earlier this month, which was fun. But we made plans for him to come down so that he could see my family. I'm quite ecstatic about it. I can't wait to see him--I got teased about the fact that I smile when people mention his name again. It'll be fun to show him around my home. Doing some awesome reading recently. I recommend: The Night Angel Trilogy by Brent Weeks, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Steig Larson, The Lover's Dictionary by David Levithan, and Cinder by Marissa Meyer. If you don't listen to any of that--READ THE LOVER'S DICTIONARY by DAVID LEVITHAN. It is one of my new favorite books ever. It is so incredibly fantastic. Ian comes into Philly tomorrow in a little over12 hours--I can not wait. :D Have a great weekend! |
