"'Stuff your eyes with wonder,' he said, 'live as if you'd drop dead in ten seconds. See the world. It's more fantastic than any dream made or paid for in factories. Ask for no guarantees, ask for no security, there never was such an animal.'" ~ Ray Bradbury, "Fahrenheit 451"

I don't like random friend requests. I want to know how you've found me. When you do, then I'll probably accept.

Winter Break

So--where was I? *laughs*

Ian went to Canada, when I picked him up ~11 days later, we went hung out, then had some fun at my place, then we went to see "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows". The next day, I got sick. I stayed at Ian's until I felt well enough to go home--he took care of me when he was there. I found out Friday (aka Dec. 23rd) that I had strep throat, which Ian--miraculously didn't get. I spent a lot of my time being sick cross-stitching. I enjoyed that, a lot.

I saw a lot of my friends over break. I saw an old friend who ditched me, another friend who I haven't seen in years--we watched the director's cut of "Das Boot" then youtube videos, saw another friend and just gabbed, then had lunch with the just mentioned friend and another friend whom I haven't seen in years, then I have a video game play date. I also got to see my cousin quite often. :D Also, a guy who was like an older brother to me came back into my life after 10+ years, and I actually saw him a few times.

I cannot wait though until the weekend (well, tomorrow), because Ian's coming down. I went up earlier this month, which was fun. But we made plans for him to come down so that he could see my family. I'm quite ecstatic about it. I can't wait to see him--I got teased about the fact that I smile when people mention his name again. It'll be fun to show him around my home.

Doing some awesome reading recently. I recommend: The Night Angel Trilogy by Brent Weeks, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Steig Larson, The Lover's Dictionary by David Levithan, and Cinder by Marissa Meyer. If you don't listen to any of that--READ THE LOVER'S DICTIONARY by DAVID LEVITHAN. It is one of my new favorite books ever. It is so incredibly fantastic.

Ian comes into Philly tomorrow in a little over12 hours--I can not wait. :D

Have a great weekend!

I know, I don't get on much these days either.

Life is good. I'm finally half way through the pregnancy, and the baby is making itself known via kicks and headbutts now. Work is also great, with the exception of me being so busy all the time. It's tough being in high demand. Because of faculty wanting me to do workshops all the time, I don't get to tutor as much as I'd like. We're still pinching pennies, but hopefully Miguel's work will pick up because of Christmas. Aurora is fantastic as always, and is gearing up for the Christmas dance show. They'll be doing a jazz number to "Girls Just Want to Have Fun". So what else is new with you?

Stand is pretty awesome, I say go crazy. Though you do know many Boarders are closing, hop on those deals!!! Good luck with narrowing those grad schools down, it's no ready tash I'm sure.

Life is interesting here, job is almost up so I have to find other gainful employment soon. I need a stable job that will pay me good money, but those are hard to come by. Trying to get into school, but my procrastination factor is up 1000% this summer and I really need to get my act together. Other than that, summer is really fun so I hope it doesn't end too soon.

Thanks, I'll keep you posted on how things go w/ it all.

Good luck, getting into and picking a Grad School will be tricky. As for the summer plans, hopefully you can make time for some fun while you're busy working on the future. Take time to smell the flowers amiga!

Lots of ups and downs. Still adjusting to life on the East Coast, but I'm workin' on it slowly but surely. Got a new job at the YMCA and am hangin' out w/ a lot of kids, which is pretty cool. Trying to write a lot more; short stories, music, comics, stuff like that. It's been a lot of fun.

Got any plans for the summer? You excited for the school year to be over?
