So I show up to a random meeting, and now I'm VP of the philosophy club at my college. Step down from being the President in my high school, but I'll take it.
Because I'm not going to post this 3 pages back in the forum I'll answer you directly.
Simple answer: I don't see the point in discussing something that everyone agrees with.
More in depth: I do not check the forums every day...maybe once or twice a week. When reading back through 70-100 posts, if there are 3 things I agree with and 10 I don't, the "agreements" are going to go to the bottom of the pile and probably not even get a response.
And even if you haven't seen it, I have agreed with people on here...just not often. And much the same that you said you have been tempted to agree with me just to see if I would argue...I have done this on the forum and got the same response from y'all that you expect from me but from DoNothing, DiMono, and Chi.
Add that when I post something a lot of you simply disagree with, I get flamebaited, WTF, etc... I avoid that issue at all times unless someone actually throws an insult at me. So answer me, why the fuck should I respect any of you fuckers enough to tell you I agree with you when I'm never given the respect of at least following the forum rules? There is zero benefit for me expressing agreement when with nearly every response I get insults whether my argument is rational, based on a source, or a simple opinion.
You cannot be a conservative on this board without putting up with a lot of bullshit. There are effectively 3 people who MIGHT respond to a comment. When you have an overwhelming majority of liberal mindsets on the board, the only time you're going to get a response is when what you see as normal and expected is against someone's opinion. If you can't see that you chase away anything but the die-hards willing to argue with the wall...you need to check yourself.
You've (generic) been called out by Mex. and reading the responses to him, pretty much everyone told him he was wrong. You've now made at least a personal acknowledgement about the same...it would be nice if our moderators actually moderated...but I don't expect it.
