I agree. I never said I didn't feel the way you do about the series. It is well made and all that. I don't get why people fight about the show though. It's a cartoon. There are better things to fight about, like why it is such a pain in the butt to get our government to listen to us.
So many people are getting into My Little Pony because it is a pleasant pop culture phenomenon with many followers.
The show itself is light-hearted and fun to watch and has very good writing, animation, character development, and voice acting.
The community is full of active, engaging, and friendly people. Therer are several websites dedicated to discussion and viewing the episodes and plenty of fan-generated content.
Since I started watching the show a little under a year ago, I have moved to college. After moving here, I joined a Facebook group for local bronies and I have met and made more friends since moving here than I did in all my years in high school. The show, the characters, and all of my new friends mean a lot to me and are major parts of my life now and I wouldn't trade the world for them.
If you're an open-minded individual, I recommend watching the first two episodes of season one. If you decide to watch more than that or nothing at all, that's perfectly fine and nobody will think any differently of you.
