Loveless letters
We told her to be cautious./ Things aren't always what they seem./ She can't see what he's doing, how he's playing her/ she thinks she's living her dream. He's got her so shaken up she can't stop shaking/ She thinks it's normal she can't do any better/ She can't seem to see the mistakes she's making/ She falls for "I'm sorries" and loveless letters. She thinks it's sweet he calls her baby...(but does he know her name?)/ She stays up all night waiting (he's to busy playing his ruthless games)/ We call her crazy say she's waiting for her little heart to break. (Just how long will it take?) He's got her so shaken up she can't stop shaking/ She thinks it's normal she can't do any better/ She can't seem to see the mistakes she's making/ She falls for "I'm sorries" and loveless letters. What we could've realized from the very first date she's come to realize (two years to late)/ Now he's got her into a cul-de-sac corner/ You can't say we didn't warn her (he wasn't worth the wait) Now he's got her so shaken up she can't stop shaking/ She thinks it's normal she can't do any better/ She can't seem to see the mistakes she's making/ She falls for "I'm sorries" and loveless letters. Now she's stuck in simple suburbia/ this is all for him of course/ But what she wishes for the most isn't furniture/ but a divorce/ Now her only stab at freedom will get her 25 to life And move her to the suburbia of solitude/ in cell block 65. Now we hate to say we told her so but look at her life/ She'll never accomplish anything but being a bored house wife./ She's left with bruises so deepher heart is scarred She knows that she's let this go too far. He's got her so shaken up she can't stop shaking/ She thinks it's normal she can't do any better/ She can't seem to see the mistakes she's making/ She falls for "I'm sorries" and loveless letters. loveless letters...loveless letters...loveless letters....never make anything better. |
