I get started on an ambitious construction project but it inevitably gets ruined while in progress by attacks from those darned archer guys or the green cactus things, and I never have the energy to rebuild. Perhaps I should try playing with friends rather than alone. Can you recommend a server?

I don't really know servers, but I DO know that when I am playing on single-player, I go to "Options" and choose "Difficulty: Peaceful" and that way monsters (and especially those stupid exploding creepers) will not spawn. That's the best setting if you just want to build things. I'll ask Tony if there are public servers that are good for building-style players.

There is a recording of the Mahler we played, but that won't come for another week or so. At least. I'm still working on getting a recording of the concert before that which included a few gigantic oboe solos!

Glocks are nice, but if I was going to be getting one for myself, I'd probably look into either one of the S&W 3rd gen 9mm, a Sig Sauer, or and H&K.

I've rebooted, tried playing other dvds, cleaned the disc. The time before last when I tried playing it, my compy tried telling me that I had inserted a blank disc. Fortunately the last time I put it in, the disc icon said firefly disc 2 (or something like that) but still no playing. sigh Thanks anyway.

question: Is there any way that I can convince my macbook to play firefly disk 2 after it has decided that it no longer likes shindig, jayne's town, or our mrs. reynolds? All the other disks play fine, along with all my other DVD's. There are no scratches, or other visible damage. My poor brain is confused.

I think my best ever shooting with a pistol I'd never fired for the first time was a cop's old .38 special backup. 5 rounds, pretty smooth trigger, and it was accurate. Probably not at too long a range but that's not what it's designed for, obviously.
