'94 was it? I think my college football Sooners were in a mess as well, so it was a bad year all around for me, lol.
After seemingly growing up listening to baseball games on the radio, it's no surprise I would indulge in the radio announcers more than tv announcers. Since the radio guys have to draw a picture for you in words, it just seemed to add that much more excitement to the game.
I used to keep up with a minor league team in Ohio (Columbus) and then when we moved to Houston, I became a huge Astros fan (80s). I was so much into baseball that I learned how to keep score and made up my own little score sheet to work with. This was back in the 70s with Columbus. The score sheet thing just got more complex in the 80s, lol, as I kept adding dialect(?) if you can call it that. And as a true fan, I didn't watch a whole lot on TV... I loved listening to games over the radio... really old school like, huh? LOL!
But after a strike during the late 80s or 90s, I can't even remember what year, it kinda left a stale taste and eventually I lost a lot of heart for the game.
Yeah...hahaha. I don't really go there much. I think I probably would go more if I were 21. Though, I do drive by there a lot to go to the beach in the summer. :)
Hey man! Thanks for the comment. Yeah, doing ok over here. Other than my laptop breaking down and losing everything. I just got it back today so now I have to start all over with everything I had on there, of course some can't be replaced but a lot of it can so I'll go on with what I have, lol.
