Back after awhile.
Well, I'm back after awhile of being off, and rather than bounce around to everyone's journals, I'll just respond to the general action I've seen around. First off, what happened to the site, mucho grande change, not that I care, I don't really use the site for much of anything aside from conversing with the small group of people that I actually care to converse with. Frostitute is a moderator, FTW?! I never thought someone I was friends with would become a mod. Makes it a bit tougher to complain about the mods, now if I do, I have to put an exception in. With that being said, my TTT (time travel thread) brothers would probably all agree, and I know that at least a couple of them do, that the moderators are Nazi's (except Frostitute). They leave a bunch of crap open that tend to have a pretty exclusive crowd, as anytime someone new tries to jump in, everyone in the thread's crew attacks them (BAR's) and shut a topic that has somewhat similar circumstances (close group of individuals personally moderating it, yet except new members more easily and still discuss intelligent, or at the very least non-random interesting subject material). I've grown more apathetic, less interested in politics, and more conservative in recent times, but I do notice a parallel between the moderators (minus Frostitute) and the police system (at least in the US). Those in power, those close to those in power, those who appear well-off, basically anyone who isn't on the lower end of society, politically, financially, or in popularity are given higher rights than those who are on the lower end. To Jam, you watched your first Bond movie ever and you're 21? What the hell man? Maybe it's my American ignorance, but you're British! I would've thought that Bond would've been a national treasure over there, mandatory in preschool or some shit. Stop has been watching some good television. Fat Guy and Tim and Eric, while incredibly bizarre, are two great shows that adult swim has added to their lineup. Fat Guy's low production value gives it a very old school look, reminiscent of the 80's. Tim and Eric's genius comes the Kaufman-esque humor that is perfectly accented with the public access style of filming. The newest bit added to AS's lineup is Superjail, if not for the humor for the sheer psychedelic imagery. Hit, I've told you the best song in the universe exists dozens of time, you just don't listen. That's all for tonight, I'll try to make it on more often, but as always, no gaurantees. |
