#557: Apps and Understanding
You know, before I got an iPod touch (yeah yeah, I'm sure someone out there hates iOS and bla bla, that's not the point), I never understood the public's fascination with apps. I mean, I looked at the phrase "there's an app for that" as a shortcut to genuine work for certain things. But man, since getting my iPod touch, I've seen a lot of different apps that I like, want, hate, have no use for, or just seem genuinely cool. Everything from Angry Birds and Zombie Gunship, to a cool multi-track recording program that I use to make a cover really quickly when I have an idea. Most people know that Cheryl and I, when time permits, like to participate in AOIO videos whenever we get the chance or it's a song we really like. I found this goof-around lip sync app last week that I've been having tons of fun with, and ended making a video with it in just like, 15 minutes. Best part is, it comes free with a shiz-dizzle ton of FX you can do. VIDEO I thought the concept of what I was trying to do in the video wasn't super clear, but hopefully it comes across. Let me know what you think if you want. I guess not all apps are bad, provided you actually use them for something you like or need to do. --Mr. Drummer Man-- LINKED MEDIA
