The Illusion of Free Will

Consider this:
T(-1) > T(0) > T(1)
Let T = time. T(-1) is the past, T(0) is the present and T(1) is the future.
Would you agree that the events of T(-1) (The past) directly cause the events of T(0)(the present)? For example, if I hit my brother, and he hits me back, it was mainly due because I hit him in the first place; action and reaction. A is followed by B. Correct?
Now, consider this, if T(-1)(the past) causes T(0)(the present), isn't it logical to dictate that T(0) causes T(1), that is, isn't it logical that events happening right now in the present cause the events of the future? If you agree, then you've inadvertently agreed that you have no free will. A must follow with B which must follow with C. You have no input.

Let me elaborate: the things you do right now were actually caused(or determined) by the happenings of the past, and the happenings of the present cause, or determine, what you do in the future. Therefore, you have no control over what you do, because all your actions are caused by past events.
One may say to counter this arguement "If I hold this pen up, I have a choice to drop it or not."

You do not have a choice. You were caused by your wanting to prove me wrong to use choice as a counter arguement. In actuality, your personality and logic caused you to use that as an example. It was determined as well.

Free will is an illusion. We have no free will, our futures are determined by present events, which were determined by past events, preceded by events before that, etc.

But this is more than a Philosophy, it is supported by relative physics, as well as Neropsychology. You, that is, your mind or consciousness, does not make decisions. Your brain makes decisions; when a choice arises your neurons clump together into neural nets, and compete with other nets, each net representing a choice. The biggest net is the one that choice that you will follow, and that choice is then rationalized to your consciousness. Crazy eh?
